In Genesis 2:18, God says “It is not good for man to be alone,” and for this purpose created the sacred institution of marriage.  At Gateway of Hope, we count it an extreme honor and joy to conduct marriage ceremonies for those whom God has brought together.  While many churches get bogged down in the debate over what type of marriage union God will or will not bless, and while the State of Texas only recognizes a union between a man and a woman as legally valid, at Gateway of Hope, we perform both traditional ceremonies as well as same sex ones.  We believe that God holds marriage of high import, and that it is a sacred bond, and extends to all who enter into it the same blessings as well as responsibilities. For an in depth look at what the Bible does teach about homosexuality, please visit our Saved and Gay page.

If you are interested in holding your ceremony at Gateway of Hope, we encourage you to contact us.  Use of our facilities as well as all of the other items involved to conduct your ceremony is free to active members of Gateway of Hope Church.  For non members we do ask a $300 donation to coveexpenses as well as our pastor’s honorarium.  Our sanctuary comfortably seats about 80.  At this time, we do not have space for hosting receptions, so alternative arrangements for this would need to be made.

We do require all couples being married at Gateway of Hope to be born again Christians, and to meet with a pastor prior to the ceremony for premarital counseling.  Furthermore due to the wide spectrum of Christian beliefs and practices, we do require for one of the pastors of Gateway of Hope church to officiate all ceremonies conducted at the church.

Of course if you have additional questions, we welcome the opportunity to meet with you and discuss them in more detail.  Oh and lest we forget—CONGRATULATIONS!
