Rev. Ken johnson Minister & praise and worship leader
Rev. Kendric (or just Ken as he prefers to be called) Johnson was born in Greenville, Mississippi and grew up there, in Chicago, and in Georgia. He attended Houston Community College where he was a member of the Student Government, and is a proud veteran of the United States Army.
After giving his heart to Jesus as a young man, Ken discovered his passion for worship and has used his skills in various congregations including at Lakewood, Maranatha Fellowship, and since 2012 has led Praise and Worship at Gateway of Hope. He was ordained in 2014 and has served Gateway by leading worship, heading up the Encounter ministry, occassional pulpit ministry and in various other capcities in his role as a Deacon. In addition to his activities at the church, he has also volunteered his time at the Houston LGBT Community Center and with Out Students and Allies. Ken's passion is through worship creating an environment where people can encounter the real and living Jesus!
